Yukon Day at the Capitol
April of each year, 8:30 a.m.
Each year Yu-Can Coalition students help Chamber Board members and business leaders represent Yukon at the State Capitol. We deliver Yukon goody bags to our state legislators and show them what a warm, friendly community Yukon really is. A group picture on the Capitol steps with our representatives is taken, and the event is usually over by 2:00 p.m.
Leaders of Tomorrow
Certificates presented annually at a Chamber Membership Luncheon
Leaders of Tomorrow is a leadership program for 10th grade students who excel and take on leadership responsibilities. Leaders of Tomorrow equips these young protégés with community and life skills. Many local businesses volunteer to ensure that students are introduced to public speaking, city government, personality testing, volunteering, working together to complete a ropes course, and many other areas vital to building strong Leaders of Tomorrow.
