Banquet Committee:

2011 CHAIRPERSONS Amanda Miller
Plan and promote the Chambers annual banquet in January.  Assist in finding sponsors for the dinner.  Assist in getting auction items.  Arrange for the speaker.  Sell corporate tables and sponsorships.

Business Development:

2011 CHAIRPERSONS Rick Opitz 
Business Development Committee will coordinate their efforts on Economic Development, Tourism Development and Retail Development.   Economic Development  works toward expanding the employment base of the community by expanding and diversifying the economic base.  Tourism Development advertises, promotes, and markets Yukon as a tourist destination, as well as, works side by side with community organizations to promote community events.  Retail Development encourages support and growth of the local retail industry by promoting “Shop in Yukon”.

Golf Committee:

2011 CHAIRPERSONS Mike Segler , Bill Martin, Bruce Kennedy
Plan and promote the annual golf tournament.

Legislative Affairs Committee:

2011 CHAIRPERSONS Cathy Patton 
Increase business involvement in political and legislative issues at the local, state and national levels.  Meet monthly with School, City, County, and State elected officials.  Participate in the State Chambers Grassroots Action Network.  Assist in finding sponsors for the monthly Legislative breakfast.

Luncheon Committee:

2011CHAIRPERSONS Kim Coughlin, Jan Forman, Cherie Logan
Resp onsible for organizing and planning the chamber monthly luncheons including the New Teachers’ luncheon.

Membership & Ambassadors Committee:

2011 CHAIRPERSONS Kirk Otto and Sherry Poage
Responsible for increasing membership and membership retention.  Attend Friday morning coffees/assist in ribbon cutting ceremonies.  Conduct new member orientation.  Make personal visits to Chamber members throughout the year.  Encourage businesses that are not members to become members.  Quarterly Business After Hours.  Assist in getting speakers for the monthly luncheons.  Invite prospective members to the monthly luncheon.  Assist in getting sponsors for the monthly luncheons.  Assist in getting sponsors for the Business After Hours.  Coordinate the Ambassadors program.
